Password resets and two-factor

A forgotten password is the most common login snag. The reset link on the sign-in screen emails a secure link to your registered address — open it quickly, since these expire.

Two-factor authentication is the single best way to protect your account. Once enabled, a one-time code is needed alongside your password, so a leaked password alone won’t get anyone in. Stake will never ask for your password or 2FA codes by email or chat.

Stake login FAQ

Open the Stake site, select log in, then enter your username (or email) and password. If two-factor authentication is on, add the code from your authenticator app.

Use the password reset link on the login screen. A reset is sent to your registered email. Follow it promptly, as reset links expire.

Two-factor authentication adds a one-time code on top of your password. It’s strongly recommended — it keeps your account safe even if your password leaks.

Common causes are a wrong password, caps lock, an expired session or a 2FA code that’s out of sync. Reset the password and check your device clock before contacting support.
